One day, several audiences
Every year, Toyota brings its suppliers together for its Annual Business Meeting. In 2025, the event took place at Brussels Expo, at Heysel: every supplier invited, stands where they showed their products, a conference with the year’s key figures, then the awards.
A day like this serves a lot of people: internal communication, the winning suppliers, the press and social media. So it needs images of every moment, not just the stage.
What I brought
I arrived before the guests, to photograph the venue ready: the trophies lined up under the spotlights, the red carpet, the cars on display outside the palace. Then the welcome, as badges are handed out and the first handshakes are exchanged.
In the hall, the stands: each supplier with its products, conversations around a wiring harness or a screen. Those images are ones the suppliers themselves can reuse.
The conference and the key figures
In the plenary, two rhythms. The speakers, up close, when the gesture carries the sentence. And the whole hall, to show the scale of the gathering.
The charts on screen are part of the picture: a key figure photographed with the person presenting it is easier to share than a slide on its own. The panel, meanwhile, is told through looks and exchanges.
The awards and the stand tour
On stage, each winner receives a trophy, and every presentation is photographed the same way, in the same light: no supplier is served worse than the next. The group photo of all the winners closes the ceremony.
Management also toured the stands, from one supplier to the next. Those quieter exchanges are photographed without drawing attention.
What the images made possible
The first photos went out the same evening; the full selection followed over the next few days. Every winner has a photo of their award, every exhibitor images of their stand, and Toyota a complete account of its day. The following year, I covered the 2026 edition.
What it means for your event
Photograph the venue before the guests arrive: it is the only moment the set is perfect, and those images still serve for the next edition.
List the moments that matter: the welcome, the stands, the speakers, every award, the group photo. A photographer who knows the list misses none of them.
Treat every winner the same way: same framing, same light. The award photos then travel through each of their companies.
Ask for a first selection the same evening: an event is shared while people are still talking about it.
